Thank you and Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018!

2017 was a good year for me but not for my blog. I only published 3 out of 13 climbs I've done this year plus our El Nido trip. The reason behind is because I got too busy with my new found family, MMS or Metropolitan Mountaineering Society.

I call this year the MMS Year. After I decided to join them, I know my life will never be the same again. It might be an overstatement but it's true. This is my first time to be part of an organization. Now as a member, I know my brothers and sisters will be there for me and of course I'll do the same for them. I will support the activities and participate for the name of the organization.

During the training season, I gained a lot of new friends, my batchmates and members. As the time goes by, we became closer and closer. I also discovered that I can do something that looks impossible, I was just preceded by fear. Lastly, teamwork. I like the way how we work as a team in our batch during climbs and outdoor activities. We encourage everyone to push ourselves to the limit.

I supported the open climbs, I joined most of the them and I only missed 3. The last 2 open climbs was extraordinary. This year, I also conquered the toughest mountain to climb, Mt. Halcon. One of my goals is to finish the Knife Edge Trilogy and I already conquered the 2 out of the 3 (G2 and Halcon), so Mt. Mantalingajan, I got my eyes on you. I felt like I have reached the highest peak of my hiking stints, I think I have to lie low this coming 2018. Not that I will going to stop climbing, but to lessen it and give attention to other things.

This year, I've emotionally improved myself. I've become more careful to my decisions. Because of that, I set myself free to issues and be just a good guy that I wanted to be. I had a lot of these issues last 2016, so when 2017 comes in, I promise to myself to grow, and confidently, it happened.

Next year, 2018, I promise to focus on my career. I really enjoyed 2017 because I really had fun, I got a lot of climbs, but my career was just steady. I think it's time to grow a little more and to work a little harder. I should also take saving money seriously and hopefully invest on something. I got to take this matter seriously because I'm not getting younger anymore and I should think of my future starting 2018. Since I will be having few climbs next year, I can have time to publish blog posts about my previous climbs.

But I still wish to pull off some mountains on my bucketlist next year and go to places I've never been. I just wanted to take a new level to what truly matters, career and family.

Happy New Year!
